Fail RP (FRP)

Fail RP refers to the act of breaking character and/or engaging in unrealistic behaviour that contradicts the roleplay setting and narrative.

This encompasses anything that might be viewed as an improbable scenario. It's typically a matter of common sense; just reflect on these queries: Does this occur in real life? Would you engage in this in real life? Does this align with your character's narrative? Here are FOUR examples.

  • While weapons are pointed at you, you are not allowed to delay time and “wait” for back-up to arrive in order to get out of a situation. This will be classed as Fail RP.

  • When a player does something which is not possible in the real world.

  • A player drives recklessly, causing a serious car accident. Rather than acknowledging the collision and roleplaying the situation, they instantly resort to violence by pulling out a rocket launcher and attacking other players without any valid reason or roleplay context. This behaviour disrupts the immersion of the roleplaying environment and constitutes Fail RP.

  • A player randomly storms into a bank, guns drawn, demanding money from NPCs without any prior planning or interaction with other players. This disrupts the roleplay environment and doesn't adhere to realistic standards, constituting Fail RP.
